These clips feature the Red Maasai sheep, the Sheko cow and the Ankole cow, which are all hardy livestock breeds indigenous to Africa that are endangered yet could be useful globally as climate change makes environments more extreme.
People and domesticated animals have relied on each other for thousands of years. But modern life is wiping out ancient breeds. New approaches are needed to ensure the survival of these vital animal genetic resources.
