The objective of the project is to provide national environmental authorities and local farmers in Colombia and Peru with scientific evidence to increase their capacity to mitigate and adapt to climate change, while improving environmental services and socio-economic benefits for farmers. All the...
Digital maps of soil loss water erosion in the 2014 and potential the study areas of Popayán - Colombia and Matagalpa - Nicaragua were generated by means of the soil loss equation (USLE / RUSLE), which relates soil properties (percentages of sand, clay, limousines and carbon contents) obtained fr...

Evaluation of the mitigation potential of the adaptation strategies implemented in the Climate – Smart Villages (CSV)
The database contains data collected from experiments conducted different regions of Colombia (Meta, Atlántico, Casanare and Valle del Cauca). Specifically the data is on GHG emissions from urine and manure patches in grazed pastures and carbon stocks in representative pastures. In addition, ther...

Replication Data for: Spatial Variation in Tree Density and Estimated Aboveground Carbon Stocks in Southern Africa
The summary includes data collected from surveys conducted made in the Climate Smart Villages (CSVs) of Cauca-Colombia and El Tuma La Dalia-Nicaragua. The data includes parameters related to soils, cropping systems, land use, land-use changes and livestock in these both villages. The data was the...

Summary survey Climate Smart Villages (CSVs) in Cauca Colombia and El Tuma La Dalia-Nicaragua
This database contains data obtained from measurements of nitrous oxide from urine patches on improved and degraded pastures in five countries in LAC (Colombia, Argentina, Nicaragua, Brazil and Trinidad & Tobago). Specifically, the data is on N2O fluxes, soil proprieties, nitrogen content in urin...

Data base of Nitrous oxide emissions from Urine patches in LAC
This database have the modelled data from simulation of urine and manure patches in a livestock system in Colombia and measured data in order to validate the modelled values. The parameter simulated was N2O flux.
Soil and vegetation data collected to develop LDN baselines in Otjozondjupa region of Namibia. The baselines include: land cover change, land productivity, soil organic carbon, and bush encroachment.

Pilot Project Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN), Namibia: Establishment of a baseline for land degradation in the region of Otjozondjupa
This data was collected to develop baselines for three Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) indicators: land use and land cover change (LUC) for the period 2001-2017, soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks for 2017 and bush density for 2017 as a baseline for bush encroachment in Omusati region, Namibia.
The rainfall erosivity (R) and soil erodibility (K) factors of the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) were determined on two sites in the Colombian Cauca Department over a five year period when rainfall was mostly lower than average. The results showed that the high erosion potential of the soil...
